R5 SPI Coin Classification
SPI Coins
The second largest group of coins classified had the runes SPI in front of the head. All of the SPI coins had a two point crown on the obverse. All coins had a central annulet in the standard on the reverse, there were none with a central pellet. Seven coins contained “L’s” within the standard, two had “T’s”. There were nine coins in this group. See SPI Chart 1.
